August 22, 2024​
This week in History we learned about the states, continents, and oceans. I learned where Utah is located in the world. I learned to identify the subject of a sentence. I also learned how to spell words that end with the /k/ sound. Right now I'm reading "Timothy of the Tenth Floor" with my teacher. At home I'm reading "Wing of Fire". This week in math I reviewed skip counting, rounding, and number forms. My favorite part of math were the games of tic-tac-toe, and the rounding spinner.

I learned about the human body and we made a brain hat that showed all the parts of the brain. we also made a nervous-system with paint & pipe-cleaners. I learned that "ar" can make the sound /er/​.

I learned about the human ear & eye , I learned that some animals have a colorful retina to see better in the night . I also learned that the human ear has three bones in it. This week I practiced my spelling words. Some of my words are: where, wear, flour ,​ flower, & ballet. This week I learned about measuring. I also reviewed my multiplication. The hardest multiplication for me to remember is 4 x 8. But I know the answer is 32 because 8 + 8 = 16, and 16+16=32.

I learned about heroes & villains. one of the villains was Napoleon. All he wanted was power. he killed a lot of people & took their freedom. I learned /ch/ & /tch/. It was kinda easy. In my "Timothy of the Tenth Floor" book, the main characters found an old man named Mr. Roach passed out from a heart attack. They were able to call 911 and get help for him. Also, Zoey just figured out where her mom's chest is hidden. In math I learned about telling time to the nearest half hours, quarter hour, and quarter to. I also learned how to measure.

I learned all the stages of sleep. The first stage is when you can be woken up easily and your eyes move while closed. The second stage is when it is harder to wake up and last stage is extremely hard to wake up in this stage. I learned /DGE/ & /DE/. I learned that /DGE/ is used in short vowels & /DE/ is used in long vowels. I learned about Gallon kingdom. In the gallon kingdom ​they have 4 queens which represents 4 quarts. every queen has 1 prince & one princess. The prince and princess represents pints.

Today I learned how to make a clay figure from native american art. I read Timothy the tenth floor and Zoey finally got to open the chest but all that was in there was 1000 thank you cards. I had a test and the test was about all the stuff I learned offer the month it was hard but I got thru with it.

Today we did nature Journal outside the park fore science, it was kinda fun. I read more of Timothy Of The Tenth Floor & a suspicious women gave them a note saying that they want Zoey to come meat them at Bager-hills farm but they shortly met them and it was the familiar women, and she turned out to be one of Zoey's favorite others , and they discovered that Mr. Roch has given them most of the land and that the women only had a small section of the land, and that was the end of Timothy Of The Tenth Floor. I learned about temperatures in math.

Today I did my test fore science it was pretty had but I got thru with it and got a 60! I learned how to double the last word if it is an short vowel word using /ing/ or /ed/. Today I reviewed time. I'm still having trouble with it but I know I can do this

Today I learned all about space and the universe and galaxy's. Today I started a program called UFLY it's pretty good and has been helping me. I started to do millions in my math, and so far it is going pretty good.

I learned all about Popo the volcano and had a replica of it and did elephant tooth paste!!! we had a pioneer day and we made butter!! Today in math I learned how to way and add on a scale.

today I learned about Mercury, earth, Venus , and mars. Today I finished a book called Kingdom Of Kind it is mainly about a prince called Eric and he was a heartless prince but then he sails off to sea to find happiness but the boat sunk and washed up on shore and a man took him in and taut him Eric the keys to happiness. And I'm writing a book report about it. Today I learned in math about Perimeter and how to add it.

Today in science I learned about the moon's rotation around the earth controls the waves. Today for English I did a test and I got one-hundred percent! Today for math I learned perimeter and how to get the area fast bye subtracting.

​This week in history we learned about world war 2 and how the Japanese sent cherry trees as a peace offering. We finger painted cherry trees. In English I did past tense and learned how to add a /ed/ , /t/ or leave it. Finally, in math we did volume. To find the volume of a shape you multiply the length, width, and height.c​

This week in science we made Triton, Neptune's moon, out of shaving cream, glue, and food coloring. In English I learned about the artist Monet and he only did streaks in his art. Finally, in math we did the area and perimeter of rectangles. In order to find the area you times the length by the width. To find a perimeter you add all the sides.

this week in math I did division. Division is the opposite of multiplication. In English I finished the book Heather And The Highland Pony. I like how the adventure ended with them finding their parents again. And in science I finished a test and got in the 80's presents.

This week in science we learned about the difference between weather and climate and that a climate is a long period of time like a desert, in a desert it will be more hot than cold. And in English I did a test and got 100% on it!!!!!!!!!!!! Also in Math I did division with remainder.

this week In math In learned about angles and three angles are right, acute, obtuse angles. Also in English I started a book called The Journey Of Five. And finally in science I filled out a weather chart about the possible weather this summer were I live or in some other places like Colorado.

This week in Science we learned about cohesion and we tested it with pennies one was wet and other was dry and we counted how many drops we could fit on it and the dry one fit more. Also in English I worked on subjects. Lastly in Math we worked on Roman numerals.

This week in English I read pottery and worked on writing. also in history we learned about Jorge Washington and his origins. I learned that he had to teach himself because his father died. Lastly in math we worked on fractions of a hole.

This week in math we are almost done. The last test is tomorrow and then we go on to the next level. Also in science we created a rain-gaje. We made it with a bottle and rocks and if it rains we can see how many inches of water their are. Lastly in English I did an art project. We drew a cactus's because the lessons them is desert.

this week in English I read a folktale. It was about a man who lived in small farm and he always complained how it was so crowded with his 5 children and his wife so he went to ask the wise Rabbi and he said to put all of his farm animals is the house with them and come back in a week and a week later the farmer came back and told the Rabbi that it became worse and it was making a mess so the wise Rabbi told him to now put the animals back outside and when he did he realized stuff could be worse and that he should be great full for what he has . In math I finished 3rd grade .now that I've finished 3rd grade now I get to go to 4th grade. And lastly in science we discussed how lightning and thunder are created . and light travels faster than sound so that's why you see the lightning before the thunder.

This week in math I worked with shapes. I worked on there names and if they were irregular o not. Also in English started a new book called Carlotta. So far it is about a family on a farm working hard to buy a new red truck. lastly in science I had a test. The test was about weather, and I got around 85%! :D

This week in English I reviewed everything I did so far.I diagrammed sentience, worked on my spelling,and writing. Also in math I worked on Inches and Centimeters. one of the things I did was trace my hand, measured it ,and estimated how tall I was. Lastly in Science we moved onto another science book. This science book is about ecosystems.

this week in Math I did my first test in 4th grade. it took me awhile but I did It eventually. Also in science we played a bored game. the bored game is about the food chain and you have to get the cards in order from the sun to decompresses. Lastly in English I finished a book. the book is called Carlotta it is a part of a multiple story book
